"Positive Inclusion Practices!"

On Saturday March 21, 2009 we will be having our very first annual 321BIKE4DS event! Come out and join us for a day of fun and learn about bike safety and many other positive things about Down syndrome! Vendor table for brochures will be available.
Current positive inclusion practices in our childrens's educational settings. Bike Safety demo's will be happening. Hoping to have LOSE THE WHEELS demo there that day also. There will be a FUN Decorated Bike Contest for anyone that brings something 'with wheels'!! Must have wheels to enter contest this year! Safe Bike riding practices and vendors! Help us raise funds to help in advocating for 'Positive Inclusive Practices' and 'Safety' issues for our children. 

There will be a short bike course for our 1st time event, and eventually we hope to make this a Bike event on a much larger scale where we have a mapped 10 & 25 maybe even a 60-mile route for those real bike enthusist!  At this DEBUT 1st Annual event we will have a specialized route just for all the kiddos! A DECORATED BIKE CONTEST (anything with wheels to enter contest) in a seperate paved path area! We are looking into have a short bike route within the park if there will be someone to be 'in charge' of that piece. Volunteers needed!! Build your teams for this!

PODS Angels  Parents Raising Individuals with Down Syndrome who are Passionate about "Positive Inclusion Practices" and Safety.

PODS Angels is dedicated to improving the lives of children and adolescents with Down syndrome thru "positive inclusion practices" within educational settings, thru parent advocacy trainings.
WAYS TO GET INVOLVED
Sponsor your own bike ride and help us raise additional funds for Down Syndrome Positive Inclusion Practices and support group programs thru PODS Angels Down Syndrome Support. Help us find donated PRIZES and RAFFLE ITEMS for the day of the event!

RECRUIT YOUR OWN TEAM
To share in the fun and join in the effort to support this worthwhile cause.  PODS Angels is a recognized non-profit organization in both Broward and Lee Counties in the State of Florida, committed to improving the lives of children and adolescents with Down syndrome through parent education on special education, policies and procedures, through parent advocacy trainings and thru new parent support information and resources.
BE ONE OF OUR SPONSORS
Of this Debut event and help us raise additional funds for "Postive Inclusion Practices" for Down syndrome thru current up to date research and computer programs to help our children be more successful in during their educational experiences. PODS Angels Down Syndrome Support Group provides many social activities and programs to help with parent education for advocacy skills training.

We are in the planning stages and need all the volunteers we can get for this first time ever event! Planning committees now forming. Right now we have openings for 10 committee chairpersons. Want to get involved? PODS Angels could use your ideas, energy and support! Mostly your energy!!
